Two important pillars for our networking and awareness activities are the Conferences and Roadshows we organise each year in the UK.
ACG Conferences
ACG conferences are open to all, with favourable delegate rates for ACG members and for law enforcement officers. We hold two each year, regional in spring and in London in the autumn. Following a very successful three-year series of global tours, focussing on different parts of the world, we have switched to issue-led themes of general concern, such as Internet enforcement and how using the assets recovery régime can
help to take more effective action against counterfeiters.
One of ACG's most important functions is to provide effective liaison between law enforcement and rights holders/their advisers. Our Law Enforcement Roadshows are held all round the UK and Ireland, at least four times a year, alternating Scotland and Ireland each year (and Northern Ireland with the Republic).
We invite enforcement officers in each region where Roadshows are held, so that they can visit our brand owner members' stands and learn more about how to spot counterfeits. Speakers provide practical updates, and each Roadshow ends with a networking lunch and more time to meet brand owners. Once a year we extend the Roadshow for most of the day, to include a Customs-specific session. We always invite local contacts, including magistrates and companies who might be interested in ACG membership.These events can attract up to 200 delegates each time, and here are some of our recent successes:
