John Oldham, Assistant Director Border Force, said: “The international trade in counterfeit goods undercuts honest traders, and is linked to serious and organised crime, sweatshop working practices, child labour, and even the funding of terrorism. Paul Bow and Daniel Bow of William Street, Merthyr Tydfil pleaded guilty to offences under the Trade Marks Act. These matters related to the sale of counterfeit goods following an investigation carried out by Merthyr Tydfil Trading Standards Service.
