Countercheck Wins INTA's Innovation Challenge Against Counterfeits

Countercheck, a company founded in 2021 to combat the trade of counterfeit products, has emerged as the best performing scale-up solution in the Open Innovation Challenge initiated by the International Trademark Association (INTA) during the Annual Meeting 2023 in Singapore.

The Challenge evaluated the quality of the team, level of innovation, market fit, positive impact on people’s lives, brand strategy, and IP Valuation. Countercheck's solution identifies and stops counterfeited parcels in the last mile to the consumer, collecting valuable data for the brands and frustrating the reputation of the counterfeit seller.

The need for such solutions has increased exponentially since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, as online trade in counterfeit products has surged, severely harming the customers, reputation, and revenue of brands. This recognition of Countercheck's efforts comes at a time when the market for anti-counterfeit solutions is projected to reach $189.9 billion.
