28.07.16 The TABC is a cross-sectoral business association representing global companies headquartered in the U.S. and EU. They aim to promote a barrier-free transatlantic market that contributes to economic growth, innovation, and security and to foster discussion and the exchange of ideas among business and government leaders plus, serve as platform for EU and US companies to jointly address trade and investment barriers in third countries.
Phil Lewis, Strategy Advisor represented ACG and attended this meeting for the first time. The Chair welcomed ACG to the Group. He explained that it is important to have national anti-counterfeiting groups at the meetings as they offer essential cross government-business views.
The meeting was attended by the Commission, EUIPO, OECD, WIPO, WTO, US Trade Representative, US Attachés in Brussels, IPR Centre, US PTO, INTA, BASCAP, IFPI, AIM, and numerous other business representatives and EU Government officials.
