ACG Award Winners for 2021 Announced

The Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG) announced the winners of its 2021 ACG Awards for Excellence in Anti-Counterfeiting Enforcement at a virtual event today.

The event was hosted by Phil Lewis, Director General at the ACG and Dave Riley, Programme Manager with National Trading Standards and is now available to watch on the ACG YouTube channel https://youtu.be/FLWwL4gd89g 

The awards winners were:

The Dave Hankinson Memorial Award for Individual Excellence in Anti-Counterfeiting Enforcement

Winner: Marsha Bell from Salford Trading Standards
Highly Commended: Lara Mason from Lancashire Trading Standards
Highly Commended: Mohammid Tariq from Birmingham and Ealing Trading Standards
Highly Commended: Trading Standards Officer (who wishes to remain anonymous) from Cheshire East Trading Standards

ACG Award for Trading Standards Department Excellence in Anti-Counterfeiting Enforcement

Winner: Central England Trading Standards Authorities Regional Investigations Team (CEnTSA RIT), Birmingham Trading Standards and National Trading Standards Intelligence Team for Operation BEORMA.
Highly Commended: Lancashire Trading Standards
Highly Commended: Partnership Enforcement Team – Rochdale Trading Standards
Highly Commended: Cheshire West and Cheshire Trading Standards with a special mention to Chris Jeffs

The Special Commendation Individual Awards for Excellence in Anti-Counterfeiting Enforcement

Winner: Geoff Oulton at Gatwick Border Force
Highly Commended: Daryl Fryatt – City of London PIPCU
Highly Commended: Stephen Fahey – An Garda Siochána
