ACG Intellectual Property Roadshow London 2021

08 December 2021

The Anti-Counterfeiting Group (AGC) hosted its first ACG Intellectual Property (IP) Roadshow since 2019. Despite new covid measures being announced days before and ACG’s commitment to keeping everyone safe during what is still an uncertain time for everyone, the Roadshow which took place on Thursday 2 December 2022 at the Hilton Olympia Hotel attracted over 150 attendees.

156 attendees travelled to London to join the ACG and network with fellow officers and IP professional and enjoy a range of informative IP related presentation and brand’s exhibition.

The presentations started with a welcome speech by ACG Director General, Phil Lewis and followed with an update from the ACG’s Intelligence Co-Ordinator on the enforcement actions that ACG does to help its members and enforcement.

The day’s proceedings included presentations from AudienceNet talking about their latest report on counterfeit goods, the IPO on their Tick Box Scheme along with a legal update from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute’s Lead Officer and finally an informative session from the National Markets Group and Real Deal Campaign. Attendees were also invited to see ‘Spotlight Sessions’ from ACG brand members, Wella Company, Supreme, Marshalls Amplifications and PopSockets allowing them to teach attendees on how to spot a fake for their brand.

North Face, JML, Reckitt, Manchester United Football Club, Unilever, Capri Holdings Ltd, , Levi Strauss, Adidas, Apple and many other brands exhibited genuine and counterfeit products to enable delegates from enforcement agencies such as Border Force, Police and Trading Standards the opportunity of examining goods and speaking directly with the brand protection experts.

ACG would like to thank those that took time to participate in this event and to thank this event’s sponsors for their support:

  •          Juul Labs
