The Anti-Counterfeiting Group and Alibaba Group held a workshop in London on Friday 26 October exploring e-commerce and brand protection through Alibaba’s Ecosystem.
ACG members heard from David Lloyd of Global Business about the Alibaba Group, the scale of its business and future plans. Graham Clemence and Stephanie Yu, Global IP led attendees through the ecosystem in more detail and provided a more in-depth explanation of the IP protection program, including how to register and submit notice and takedowns.
A networking lunch enabled brands to network and chat informally to Alibaba staff about solutions to individual challenges they face when doing business in China.
ACG represents more than 3,000 brands affected by this influx of fakes into the UK and delivers an international network of information, advice and contacts on all aspects of IP protection. Working with Government and law enforcement agencies since 1980, ACG is focused on providing an effective and sustained response to counterfeiting.
Membership with the ACG is the best way to work with government and enforcement bodies to protect your brand. Our Roadshows and training days help you reach out to police, trading standards and border force officers and tell them about your genuine products.
