Today Border Force Officers at Gatwick airport welcomed brands to a training event arranged by the Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG).
ACG members including; New Era Caps, Harley-Davidson, Ted Baker, the Premier League and Christian Dior exhibited genuine and counterfeit goods at the training event. Officers from Gatwick airport, Border Force and police met the brands to learn how to 'spot a fake’.
"It was a really good turn out and feedback from the officers was extremely positive. Everyone who came along seemed to be genuinely interested and engaged" explained an ACG member attending the event.
The ACG has a rolling programme of enforcement training events and roadshows. To find out more go to the ACG events webpage.
ACG represents more than 3,000 brands affected by this influx of fakes into the UK and delivers an international network of information, advice and contacts on all aspects of IP protection. Working with Government and law enforcement agencies since 1980, ACG is focused on providing an effective and sustained response to counterfeiting.
Membership with the ACG is the best way to work with government and enforcement bodies to protect your brand. Our Roadshows and training days help you reach out to police, trading standards and border force officers and tell them about your genuine products.
