Trading Standards officers celebrated their qualification successes at a Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) Awards Dinner in Brighton this evening.
ACG sponsored the Intellectual Property (IP) award and were delighted that this years' winner was Karen MacDonald from Aberdeenshire Council. Regretfully Karen wasn’t able to attend the CTSI awards dinner but her award was collected by a colleague.
Phil Lewis, ACG Director General presented the award and commented “We have sponsored the CTSI IP award for many years now and support how it builds knowledge and understanding of intellectual property. Karen did fantastically well in the exam and scored very highly. Congratulations to her and ACG look forward to working with her on tackling counterfeiting in the near future".
ACG represents more than 3,000 brands affected by this influx of fakes into the UK and delivers an international network of information, advice and contacts on all aspects of IP protection.
