Today ACG members met with Alibaba for a roundtable discussion about its intellectual property protection (IPP) tools. A team of experts talked to more than 30 delegates and walked them through the features of brand protection tools available across Alibaba's different ecommerce platforms taobao.com, Tmall, TMail Global, Alibaba.com, 1688.com, AliExpress and Lazarda.com.
To better engage and foster collaboration, members were also given the opportunity to raise questions or challenges through ACG, who then shared them with the Alibaba team ahead of the roundtable. A wide range of topics were covered from enforcement and evidence requirements to strategies and plans for the future. All the brands’ queries were provided with a comprehensive and thorough response.
This event was the first in a series of Protecting Brands Online Roundtables offered free of charge to our members. The next one will be held with Amazon on 9 February and Pinduoduo and eBay will follow later in the month.
ACG represents more than 3,000 brands affected by this influx of fakes into the UK and delivers an international network of information, advice and contacts on all aspects of IP protection.
