ACG members met with two team members from Coupang today for a roundtable discussion about their new and expanding Intellectual Property (IP) Team. Coupang is an e-commerce platform in South Korea, which has recently launched in Japan.
Those that joined the discussion had a unique opportunity to meet and speak to the IP Trademark, Copyright and Brand Protection team members who focus on Legal, Trust and Safety between brands and Coupang.
The presentation provided by Coupang, outlined their work in protecting rights holders and preventing the sale of counterfeit goods. Later, members were able to raise questions and provide useful feedback.
This event is the fifth in a series of Protecting Brands Online roundtables and was offered free of charge to members. New opportunities to meet other ecommerce platforms will follow soon, as ACG builds yet more exciting, new relations.
