ACG score a winning goal in Scotland

09 May 2016

Scotland were the gracious hosts of ACG’s recent IP Roadshow, held at Celtic Football Club, Glasgow on Thursday 5 May. IP Roadshow, Glasgow

The roadshow welcomed over 100 delegates from police, trading standards and customs, all keen to hear the latest news and updates on intellectual property (IP) from; the Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG), Trading Standards, the Scottish Anti-Illicit Trading Group (SAITG) and Police Scotland.

Over 35 brands exhibited genuine and fake goods and chatted to delegates over lunch and coffee, about the issues of counterfeits and how the brands could effectively work with enforcement.

Later in the day there were also informative sessions on how to spot a fake, presented by brand enforcement representatives for Michael Kors, Bauer, Levi Straus & Co., Conair, New Balance and Unilever.

“The feedback from this event has been extremely positive. Enforcement have found it informative and a great opportunity to network” commented Alison Statham, ACG Director of Operations.

The next ACG IP Roadshow in September will be held in York. For more information contact ACG on 01494 449165.
