Brexit and IP Webinar

07 October 2020

Today Phil Lewis, Director General of The Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG) took part in a webinar for Novagraaf. The webinar was targeted at anyone engaged in the oversight of intellectual property (IP) Portfolios.

Novagraaf held a platform for Phil to give ACG perspectives on Brexit through their ‘Brexit and IP – preparing your trademarks and designs for the end of the transition period’ webinar.

The webinar included Katrina Buchell, Burchell Consulting along with Vanessa Harrow and Franc Enghardt from Novgraaf as expert speakers on the topic who offered guidance on preparing and planning for changes, including approaches and strategies to protect and maximise valuable trademark and design assets.

If you missed the webinar and would like to find out more about:

  • the status of the negotiations on the future UK-EU relationship post-transition period;
  • the plans that have been put in place for the cloning of IP rights after the transition period ends and their implications for rights holders;
  • the proposals for the management of UK parallel imports/exports and exhaustion of IP rights after the transition period ends and their implications for rights holders; and
  • both the UK and EU perspectives on how to prepare your IP portfolio for the end of the transition period and beyond
