ACG coordinated brand attendance in a raid action yesterday at the Fairyhouse Market in Ratoath, County Meath, Ireland where counterfeit sportswear, handbags, watches, clothing and accessories with an estimated street value of Euro 50,000 were seized. The goods would be worth Euro 300,000 if genuine.
Gardaí and Revenue Customs Officers led the operation supported by ACG members, representing brands such as adidas, Abercrombie and Fitch, Louis Vuitton, MICHAEL KORS, North Face, Rolex, Superdry and Ted Baker who assisted Gardaí in identifying and targeting market traders illegally selling fake and replica goods.
Investigations are underway.
ACG represents more than 3,000 brands affected by this influx of fakes into the UK and delivers an international network of information, advice and contacts on all aspects of IP protection.
