The ACG was delighted to host a roundtable meeting with eBay Inc. on Wednesday 17 October.
ACG brand members were keen to meet with the e-commerce platform and discuss in detail, ways of working together to protect consumers and help rights holders remove counterfeit products from the site.
Julien Dudouit, Global IP Brand Manager at eBay, spoke to members about activities that go on behind the scenes and led them through the tools available, including the VeRO programme (Verified Rights Owner) which enables brands to directly report products believed to be counterfeit.
It was a great opportunity for brands who wanted to learn about today’s tools and future developments at eBay.
ACG represents more than 3,000 brands affected by this influx of fakes into the UK and delivers an international network of information, advice and contacts on all aspects of IP protection. Working with Government and law enforcement agencies since 1980, ACG is focused on providing an effective and sustained response to counterfeiting.
Membership with the ACG is the best way to work with government and enforcement bodies to protect your brand. Our Roadshows and training days help you reach out to police, trading standards and border force officers and tell them about your genuine products.
