Mike Roylance receives the ACG Lifetime Achievement Award

26 March 2021

Congratulations - Well DoneOn Wednesday 24 March 2021, to recognise the work done over the decades to combat counterfeiting, the Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG) wanted to acknowledge Mike Roylance who has been a huge support for the ACG and the counterfeiting community.

Mike has been determined to protect his brand but also to serve the wider cause of intellectual property rights infringement. Phil Lewis, Director General of the ACG awarded Mike the ACG Lifetime Achievement Award in front of other ACG members at the Consumer Brands Group Meeting on Wednesday.

In his speech, Phil Lewis commented that Mike “has been nothing less than passionate and determined over the years, it became clear what Mike cared about and that he's a recognized expert. But I think that to a lot of us, he's a kind of legend amongst brand protection and in enforcement as well”.

Mike’s attitude has continued to inspire all members of the ACG to follow in his footsteps and has shown that collaboration and partnership is vital in combating any crime. Over the years Mike has fostered cooperation and alliances throughout and as a result, countless companies, local national enforcement authorities and officers make their thanks.

“I am very, very grateful to the ACG and all of you. To me, it was just me doing my job and I am very humble, I'm very pleased to be given this award, and it's been an absolute pleasure to work with each and every one of you, and I'm going to miss it. I'm sure that at some point in the future, I'm going to pop up here and there and as I say, it's been an absolute pleasure and an honour to work with you all. So, thank you very much for all of this” commented Mike Roylance on the acceptance of his award.

The ACG wants to recognise Mike once again for all he has done, congratulations from the ACG team and wider ACG membership.
