The Anti-Counterfeiting Group announces changes to its Board of Directors.

The Anti-Counterfeiting Group, the UK’s leading Anti-counterfeiting association, announces changes to its Board of Directors.

On 17 January 2022, the Anti-Counterfeiting Group revealed that Shelley Duggan, Senior Vice President at Procter & Gamble, is to step down as Chair of the ACG Board of Directors, after many years of dedicated and devoted service.

To ensure ACG maintains an optimal structure to fully support its members, a review has been completed and following positions have been confirmed

  • Mark Bearfoot, Senior Legal Director IP & Brand Protection at Tommy Hilfiger is to step up from Vice Chair of the ACG Board.
    • Mark has been elected by the Board of Directors to succeed Shelley as the new Chair of the ACG.  Mark joined the Board in June 2017 and has held the position of Vice Chair for the past two years. Mark will offer strong guidance in a wide variety of areas and is very much looking forward to building on ACG’s successes.
  • Chloe Long now Global IP & Brand Protection Lead at Superdry will continue her role as Vice Chair of the ACG Board of Directors and Chair of the ACG’s Consumer Brands Group.

Phil Lewis, Director General of the ACG, said "Shelley Duggan will be sorely missed for her guidance and selfless contribution as Chair of the ACG Board of Directors. However, we are delighted that Mark Bearfoot has agreed to take on the role. Mark has been internationally recognised for his work in intellectual property and anti-counterfeiting and will bring, huge professionalism and energy to the Group.”
