Fake goods worth £1m seized in new raid on the UK's 'counterfeit capital'

Posting on Facebook, the north Manchester division of Greater Manchester Police said: “Today, with our partners, officers took part in an operation on Bury New Road targeting those selling counterfeit goods. “Seven illegal shops were found with one million pounds worth of counterfeit items seized. “They are not bargains they are cheap, sub-standard and dangerous. The money made by the shops goes to fund organised crime. GMP and our partners will not tolerate this.”

Man receives suspended sentence for selling counterfeit goods
