Notts shopkeepers jailed for counterfeit cigarette offences

26.02.17 - Hersh Kareen Hasson, 31 of St Anne's Close, Derby, and Shakawan Salah, 38 of Low Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, who jointly run Andrew's News and Booze on Lower Road, pleaded guilty to eight offences against the Trademark Act (1994) and four offences against the Consumer Protection Act (1987). Hasson received a 27-month sentence and Salah was handed a 30-month prison sentence.

Atherstone sweet shop worker fined for selling counterfeit cigarettes

16.02.17 - Morad Mohmad Ahmed (39) was working at Congraves Sweets and Treats, in Long Street, when it was raided by Trading Standards last March. Nuneaton Magistrates' Court heard officials found packets of fake Golden Virginia tobacco, along with fake versions of Richmond cigarettes from a secret holdall in the shop.

Man sentenced for selling counterfeit goods at car boot sale

08.02.17 - The sentencing at Peterborough Crown Court follows an investigation by Peterborough City Council trading standards officers in July last year. This led to the seizure of around £12,000 worth of counterfeit items including Nike trainers, Dior perfumes, Lacoste polo shirts and Ralph Lauren polo shirts.
