Newport counterfeit cigarette seller jailed

20.02.15 - A SHOPKEEPER who sold tens of thousands of pounds of counterfeit cigarettes, hidden in secret storage compartments throughout his store, has been jailed. Choman Omar, 32, kept thousands of cigarette packets and tobacco pouches under the floor and behind secure panels at the International Food Market in Newport, a court heard.

Rogue Traders jailed for 12 and a half years

20.02.15 - Two men have been jailed for 12 and a half years for money laundering, perverting the cause of justice and selling counterfeit goods. Brothers Hughie Collins, 46 and Terry Collins, 34 were sentenced on January 30th after being found to be selling counterfeit ‘Stihl' chainsaws and i-phones, amongst other things, to unsuspecting members of the public which have since been proven to be extremely dangerous.

3 men sent to prison for selling fakes at Eastgate Market in Lincs

20.02.15 - father and his two sons were handed prison sentences at Lincoln Crown Court yesterday (19 February) for selling counterfeit clothing in Ingoldmells. Iftakhar Ahmed (41) from Walsall, West Midlands was running two market stalls in Fantasy Island with the help of his twin sons Hasan and Asad Iftakhar (23).

Market trader pays price for selling fake designer clothing

19.02.15 - A trader who sold fake designer clothing at Bovingdon Market has been given a community sentence and ordered to pay £500 costs. Moosia Ghaffar, 51, of Richmond Street, London, was handed a community sentence of 200 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay costs of £500 having admitted 13 charges relating to more than 200 items of counterfeit clothing at an earlier hearing.
