Shopkeeper fined for counterfeit clothing

16.01.15 - A Blackpool shopkeeper was fined £1,990 after selling clothing with false trademarks. Shaun Hartley, 48, of Bela Grove, Blackpool, runs the Glamourise shop on Abingdon Street.

15.01.15 - Robertas Bouzius, 33, of Tithby Drive, pleaded guilty at Nottinghamshire Magistrates' Court to 15 charges of possessing goods with a false trademark for sale or hire, and one count of selling such goods. The counterfeit items included over 50 "Mac" lipsticks and 19 "Calvin Klein" bags. He was fined £375 and ordered to pay £875 costs.

1,600 sites selling illegal meds closed down last year

Worthing man fined for selling fake t-shirts on eBay

13.01.15 - A WORTHING man who made around £10,000 by creating and selling fake t-shirts on eBay has been fined £2,500. Joseph Walker, 31, of Lanfranc Road, pleaded guilty to five charges of breaching the Trade Mark Act when he appeared before Worthing Magistrates on Friday.

13.01.15 - A BRADFORD businessman was today fined £15,000 after pleading guilty to selling illegal cosmetics, toys and household goods. Ashvin Rana, 47, of Papa's Cash and Carry, had been told by West Yorkshire Trading Standards (WYTS) to remove about 7,000 products from the shelves at his firm's two premises in Leeds Road and Cottam Avenue, Listerhills, Bradford.

2,000 dangerous fake 'Frozen' dolls seized

08.01.15 - Dolls containing chemicals which can lead to reproductive system damage, increased risk of cancer and asthma. More than 2,000 dangerous fake ‘Frozen' dolls have been seized in Coventry. The fake character dolls from the hugely popular Disney film were intercepted at the international Parcelforce hub next to Coventry Airport before they reached the shop shelves.
