Crackdown on counterfeits at Fairyhouse market

ACG coordinated brand attendance in a raid action yesterday at the Fairyhouse Market in Ratoath, County Meath, Ireland where counterfeit sportswear, handbags, watches, clothing and accessories with an estimated street value of Euro 50,000 were seized. The goods would be worth Euro 300,000 if genuine.

A Merthyr Tydfil man has been prosecuted for selling counterfeit designer goods on Facebook

Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates heard that during routine monitoring of social media by the County Borough Council's Trading Standards Service, officers discovered the Facebook page and carried out covert test purchases which identified the Diesel and Ralph Lauren clothing as counterfeit.

Company ordered to pay £37k for distributing counterfeit clothing from Hertfordshire warehouse

Recorder Tipples QC ordered the confiscation of company cash and assets, totalling £37,338 which had been restrained by Hertfordshire Trading Standards, under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. She also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of over 10,000 units of clothing and footwear.
